OUR. InstructorS

Founder & Pilates Instructor at OUR. Charlestown, Toronto & Cameron Park Studios

Hi, I’m René, the heart and soul behind OUR. Pilates Co, a reformer studio built on a dream and a whole lot of passion. As a single mum with little family support, I struggled to find a space where I could move my body without the guilt of leaving my kids behind. Traditional mums & bubs classes didn’t always fit, and crèche drop-offs felt like a battle. So, I stopped prioritising myself—and my mental & physical health took a hit.

Then I found Pilates. It helped me feel strong again, not just in my body but in my sense of self. I knew other mums needed this too, so I created OUR. Pilates Co—a space where you can move, reconnect, and show up for yourself without compromising your role as a mum. Whether you’re a parent to human babies or fur babies, you’re welcome here. No guilt, just movement that makes you feel amazing.

To me, fitness is so much more than how you look - it's about how you feel. I’ve always loved moving my body, whether it’s a walk, a swim, a run, or a sweaty Pilates session. Movement helps me feel strong, clear-headed, and grounded.

I originally fell in love with Reformer Pilates while looking to improve my balance, flexibility, and strength—and I was hooked. That love turned into a career, and now I get to help others find that same feeling. Expect dynamic, feel-good flows in my classes… and know that while I’m passionate about long-distance running, I’ll never say no to a burger and hot chips. Because yep—balance matters.

MEET EMILY

Pilates Instructor at OUR. Charlestown Studio

Hey, I’m Ash! I’ve always been super active and played a heap of different sports growing up—but it wasn’t until I became a mum that I truly fell in love with Pilates. It gave me the perfect way to strengthen and support my body in a safe space, all while still getting that post-workout burn I crave.

In my classes, you’ll find layered flows, killer playlists, and plenty of chances to challenge yourself (yes, heavy springs included!). Modifications are always welcome, so wherever you're at in your Pilates journey, I’ve got you. And when I’m not in the studio? I’m probably down at the beach wrangling my three kids with a coffee—or a spicy marg—in hand.

Hi, I’m Liv—a proud Anaiwan woman and mum to one sweet girl. After a high-risk pregnancy and a tough postpartum journey, I felt completely disconnected from my body. Pilates helped me rebuild that mind-body connection and, for the first time ever, move in a way that honoured everything my body had been through.

Becoming a Pilates instructor felt like the natural next step—I wanted to share that magic with others. In my classes, you’ll get sugar, spice, and everything nice—with plenty of layers and modifications to suit every body. And fair warning: maths was never my strong point, so those planks and pulses might just last a little longer!

MEET LIV

Pilates Instructor at OUR. Toronto Studio

I’m one of those mums who wishes she’d found Pilates sooner! Some of my sweetest memories are of my daughter curled up on my chest while I did leg presses or feet-in-straps work. Pilates completely changed my body & mindset, and I knew I had to share that feeling with others.

Now, as an instructor, I love helping mums rediscover their strength & confidence—both inside & outside the studio. And when I’m not teaching? You’ll find me at home, curled up with a good book or puzzle, indulging in a cheese board & a glass of red wine. Balance, right?!

MEET CAITLIN

MEET Krista

Pilates Instructor at OUR. Toronto & Cameron Park Studios

Hey, I’m Krista! I’m new to the instructor side of things, but my love for Pilates started about 3 years ago. After dealing with back and joint pain, I knew I needed something to help strengthen my body and my mind. Pilates became that something, and it quickly turned into a full-blown passion for mindful movement and body awareness.

Pilates gave me strength, confidence, and a real connection to my body again, and now I’m so excited to help others find that too. In my classes, you’ll find a focus on slow, controlled moves (hello, deep burn!) and proper form over fast reps - because well moving matters.

When I’m not in the studio in grip socks and tights, you’ll find me in scrubs working as a nurse. And when I’m off the clock? I’m usually chasing my two kids around, sneaking in a coffee + chocolate, or thinking about going for a hike!

Pilates Instructor at OUR. Toronto & Cameron Park Studios

Hi, I’m Kristen—born and raised in Sydney and recently calling Newcastle home, in pursuit of a slower, more mindful pace. I found a passion for Pilates at the start of COVID, during a rough patch. Through Pilates, I reconnected with my body and found strength in ways I never did at the gym. That awakening inspired me to leave the corporate career and become a Pilates instructor.

My teaching philosophy mirrors my lifestyle: slow, intentional, and deeply mindful. We move deliberately (often on lighter springs to challenge stability), holding poses longer to build true strength. Each session brings layers of challenge, with modifications to honor how you're feeling that day. The real joy for me is seeing clients build their strength and confidence throughout the class and walk out with a smile.

Outside the studio, you’ll find me walking my fur-baby, Tilly, or curled up on the couch together with a cheeky chocolate and cup of tea, while I get creative with my colouring books.

MEET KRISTEN

Pilates Instructor at OUR. Charlestown & Cameron Park Studios

Hello, I’m Claire. I was one of the first members through the OUR. Pilates Co Charlestown studio doors, so stepping into the instructor role feels like a beautiful full-circle moment.

In my classes, you can expect simple moves done well, a satisfying full-body burn and space to show up exactly as you are. Yes, even if your class includes baby wrangling, forgetting your left from your right or counting down to feet in straps. Trust me, I’ve been there.

Outside the studio, I’m a wife, mum of two, marriage celebrant, one-time Guinness World Record holder and former game show contestant. I wear a few hats, but being part of this community is one of my favourites..

MEET Claire

Pilates Instructor at OUR. Toronto Studio

It started with a love for the burn, and turned into something that completely reshaped how I connect with my body. After 7 years of practicing, I am in my third teaching year, I’ve fallen in love with how empowering reformer pilates can be when it’s infused in strength and intention.

My classes blend reformer flow with strength-based movement to challenge both your body and your mindset. Think spicy core work, glute burners, and those feel-good shakes that remind you just how strong you really are.

I’m here to help you discover what your body can do, and to support you as you push past the limits you think you have.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll usually find me beachside, hanging out with my fiancé, friends and our two cheeky mini dachshunds, Arlo and Chilli.

MEET AMY

Pilates Instructor OUR. Charlestown & Cameron Park Studios

I’ve always been drawn to movement. I spent over 15 years as a competitive Highland dancer (yes kilts and all) and had the incredible opportunity to represent Australia internationally with OzScot Australia. After stepping away from dancing due to injury, I felt like a bit lost – until I discovered Reformer Pilates.

What started as a way to rebuild my strength and reconnect with my body quickly became something I genuinely loved! Pilates gave me the challenge, flow, and feel-good energy I’d been craving – and before long, I knew I wanted to teach it.

I also have a background in health, with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and work as a Respiratory Scientist. That knowledge shapes the way I approach movement - with a focus on body awareness, breath, women’s health and building lasting strength.

My classes are all about helping you move well and feel strong, with a little burn, a little fun, and a lot of support. I love blending dynamic, dance-inspired flow with functional strength and mindful movement – all in a space where you can challenge yourself without the pressure to be perfect.

Outside the studio, you can see me sipping a tea or matcha (coffee who?), spending time with family, chasing my dog Kevin or hunting down the perfect cooked breakfast with my partner. Excited to see you in class!

MEET AVA

Pilates Instructor at OUR. Charlestown, Toronto & Cameron Park Studios

Hi I’m Hannah. As a city girly running large conventions around Australia and being on my feet for sometimes 17 hour days, my physical and mental health was taking a toll on me. I began focusing on my health, moved to Newcastle, had a baby and found my passion in fitness. I love all things fitness whether it’s going for a walk, lifting weights or spending time on the Pilates reformer. Being a Mum has made me prioritise what is important and I love that I can pass that on to my clients. Still a city gal at heart, I do love to get glammed up and have a good night out… it’s all about balance!

MEET jayna

Pilates Instructor at OUR. Toronto & Cameron Park Studios

Hi, I’m Jayna—with a love for sport and movement that’s been part of me for as long as I can remember. Growing up active, I was always chasing that post-sweat buzz, and eventually found my way to Pilates. Becoming an instructor felt like the perfect way to turn passion into purpose.

In my classes, you’ll find a supportive, high-energy space where we challenge limits, celebrate progress, and maybe even shake a little (okay, a lot). I’m here to push you to your best—and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

MEET MACKENZIE

Pilates Instructor at OUR. Toronto & Cameron Park Studios

Hi there, my name is Mackenzie, and I am so excited to introduce myself to you all as a Pilates instructor at Our Pilates Co at the Toronto and Cameron Park studios. I began my Pilates journey alongside many of you at the Charlestown studio and instantly fell in love. Compared to traditional gym spaces, I felt drawn to the supportive, female dominated space and being guided through classes, which meant I had to do exercises I despised (bridges, I’m looking at you). When I am not at the studio, you can find me sprawled out in the sun with a good book, hanging out with my pets, playing games with friends, or pretending I’m an artist (a Kmart paint by numbers hates to see me coming). I am also studying for a Media and Communications degree which helps keep me busy.
